The results of the call for low-carbon energy projects are expected to be published before 16 July 2018
The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) received 83 proposals under its latest call for low-carbon energy projects. The budget available for the call is only €155 million while applicants have requested a total of more than €600 million.
The applicants are competing to develop or demonstrate clean energy technologies in six fields: (i) local heating and cooling solutions; (ii) cost reduction for Building Integrated PV (BIPV) solutions; (iii) RES for combined heat and power (CHP) generation and their integration in the EU’s energy system; (iv) solutions that significantly reduce the cost of RES generation; (v) next-generation biofuels and alternative RES fuel technologies; and (vi) bringing clean energy technologies closer to the market.
Once the selection of projects by external independent experts is complete, INEA is expected to announce the results before 16 July 2018.
