International energy law: The firm assists its clients in drafting or commenting on proposed legislation, it prepares, negotiates and/or advises clients on specialised energy contracts such as grid connection agreements, market coupling agreements, agreements relating to nodal pricing or other market mechanisms, tariff structures, power exchange agreements, renewable energy agreements and the likes;
M&A and joint venturing: BEA’s unique expertise allows the firm to assist clients in the preparation and negotiation of complex agreements including joint venturing, acquisitions or divestitures and their financing, cooperation agreements, service agreements or due diligence processes;
Procurement: The firm assists its clients in tender procedures, preparing non-disclosure agreements, participating for them in, and advising them on, negotiations;
Antitrust: Among other things, the firm counsels its clients on the limitations to information exchanges, advises them on potential conflicts between European antitrust and energy legislation, or helps them ensure their activities comply with European antitrust legislation;
Legal management: BEA’s team of legal experts is available to support the client’s in-house lawyers with regard to specialised energy matters and/or to assist the client’s preferred full service external law firm or other firm on such matters.
